Solar companies fold constantly, and their customers get left with a system nobody will touch. We service those systems every week. It does not matter whose name is on your contract or whether that company still exists, and you do not need to have bought anything from us.

Maintenance & Repair
Something wrong with the panels, the inverter or anything else in the system. We diagnose the actual fault and schedule the repair, rather than guessing at it.
Removal & Reinstallation
New roof, repairs, an addition or an upgrade. We take the array down, keep it safe while the work happens, and put it back correctly afterward.
Roof Leak Investigation
Water showing up near an array does not automatically mean the solar caused it. We inspect the penetrations, the attic and the ceiling and tell you what actually happened.
Pest Abatement & Critter Guard
Squirrels, birds and other animals nest in the gap under the panels and chew wiring. We clear the nesting and the debris, then fit mesh guards so it does not happen again.
Inspection & Check-Up Report
A full assessment of the system with a written report: what it has produced historically, what it is producing now, and what is holding it back.
Inverter & Optimizer Replacement
Inverters and micro-inverters are usually the first thing to fail. We identify the bad unit and replace it so the rest of the array stops carrying dead weight.
Troubleshooting & Monitoring
Production dropped, or your monitoring app stopped reporting. We work out whether it is the panels, the wiring, the inverter or the app, and send a tech if it needs one.
Panel Cleaning
Pollen, dust, leaves and organic growth build up and cut output. A cleaning restores what the array is physically able to produce.
Full System Removal
Taking a system down for good, relocating it, or clearing a roof before a replacement array goes up.
When To Call Us
Signs your system needs a look.
Your bill went up and nothing else changed
The most common first symptom. Usually a failed inverter, a dead string or heavy soiling.
The monitoring app stopped updating
Sometimes just a comms issue, sometimes the system has been offline for months and nobody noticed.
You hear scratching above the ceiling
Animals under the array chew wiring. This one gets expensive if it waits.
A stain on the ceiling under the array
Get it inspected before it becomes a framing problem. We will tell you whether the solar is to blame.
Your roof is due for replacement
Schedule the detach with us before the roofer starts so the two crews are not waiting on each other.
The company that installed it is gone

Will you service a system you did not install?+
Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. Any brand, any installer, including companies that have gone out of business. You do not need to have bought anything from us.
My roof needs replacing. What do I do about the panels?+
Call us before the roofer starts. We detach the array and store it safely on site, your roofer does the roof, then we come back and reinstall, reflash and reseal. Booking the detach early is the difference between a smooth job and your roofer sitting idle.
Is my repair covered under warranty?+
It depends entirely on who installed the system, what equipment is on it, and what the original paperwork says. Bring us what documentation you have and we will look at it with you before you pay for anything that might already be covered.
How often should panels be cleaned?+
There is no universal answer and anyone giving you one is guessing. It depends on tree cover, pollen, roof pitch and how much rain your array gets. Our inspection report tells you what your specific system actually needs.
Do you work on commercial systems?+
Yes. Residential rooftops, commercial flat roofs and ground mounts across Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes. GN Solar Solutions LLC holds Maryland Home Improvement Commission license #168849, listed as active with the Maryland Department of Labor. We are licensed, insured and bonded, and we are certified SolarEdge and Enphase installers.
